The Power of Unity: The Story of the Jungle ~ Short Stories

Long ago, there was a lush green forest where many animals lived together. Creatures like elephant, monkey, rabbit, deer, tortoise and bird were happy in their own world. Every creature in the forest had its own work and they also helped each other.

One day a hunter came to the forest. He was clever and cruel. He made a plan to catch the animals of the forest. The hunter laid a trap and started roaming in the forest. Slowly he started catching animals one by one. The animals got scared and started thinking how to solve this problem.

One day all the animals held a meeting under a big tree in the forest. The elephant said, "We have to unite and do something, otherwise this hunter will finish us." The monkey said with his playful mind, "We can trap the hunter in his trick, but for this we have to work together."

All the animals agreed to the monkey and made a plan. The next day when the hunter laid his trap, the bird went and showed him that a big deer was roaming near the forest. The hunter ran to catch the deer and left the net there. At the same time, the tortoise and the rabbit together cut the net.

Seeing the hunter returning empty-handed, the monkey started throwing fruits from the tree teasing him. The hunter got angry and ran after the monkey. Meanwhile, the elephant threw all the hunter's nets and tools into the river. The hunter left the forest defeated.

All the animals were happy and started celebrating. The elephant said, "This is the result of our unity. If we live together, no one can harm us."

From that day onwards, all the animals of the forest started living together and started solving any problem together.
